Bright and buzzy street food at its best at Kao Sarn Thai cafe in Clapham

As the eateries of Brixton Village become increasingly popular, spin offs of the originals are appearing across London. My favourite, Thai cafe Kao Sarn, recently endeared themselves to me even more when they opened their second location on St John’s Hill in Clapham.

Eating at Kao Sarn is an experience that might not suit those who like their restaurants quiet and ambiance at a low hum, but for those of us who enjoy service that’s rambunctious and food that delivers a wake up call to your tastebuds, it’s a spot you won’t want to miss.

Having eaten my way through most of the menu, I can confirm that every dish is fresh and delicious. If I had to pick my favourite meal, it would be a selection of starters followed by massaman curry with the accompanying sticky rice.

Think street food in a bright, friendly setting with experts on hand to guide you through the extensive menu. You can even bring your own drinks. If a quiet night in is more up your street, call ahead to pick up your food to take home. Its popularity makes booking imperative.
